Wow, I clicked on "NMC Conference" in WikiPedia and ended up here-- riding in the original Wiki Wiki buses that caught the imagination of Ward Cunningham, WikiFather:

Cunningham coined the term wiki after the "wiki wiki" or "quick" shuttle buses at Honolulu Airport. Wiki wiki was the first Hawaiian term he learned on his first visit to the islands, when the airport counter agent directed him to take the wiki wiki bus between terminals. According to Cunningham, "I chose wiki-wiki as an alliterative substitute for 'quick' and thereby avoided naming this stuff quick-web." (Wiki history)

Elephant Hunting In Hawaii

I have successfully arrived on this tropical Island of Oahu on my mission of chasing an elephant that has some potential to get me excited about learning objects. This has not really happened in a long while, maybe never.

Yes, somewhere at the June 2005 NMC Conference, this engimatic animal will emerge from its tropical jungle refuge, and we anticipate seeing how this Pachyderm will fly.

This entry was generated directly to this blog from my flickr site using the Blog This button. It seems small but this is an astounding feat of communication between two difference web-based systems,

Actually this was done as a demo for participants at a May 2005 educational technology workshop at San Diego State University. Live demos! That is where the edge is.

How About A Tasty Feed?

As a demo of a popular tactic, here is where we see how we can use Feed2JS to create a display of RSS feeds in a Blogger page.

Isn't this tasty?

I would say not. Blogger doies not like using JavaScript in entry posts!

Rats.

Back to the lab bench.

Javascript can be put into templates.
